Location, location, location! Take a look through my gallery of locations and see which would fit your aesthetic the best. It is also a good chance to think about where your children would feel most comfortable, choosing a beach when they don't like sand wont make them happy campers!
All my locations have been tried and tested and I know how to work with them best, but I am always p for a new challenge if you have come across something beautiful, or just happy to catch up in your own home!
Lighting is the number one most important element in creating breathtaking photos! The best light is about an hour after sunrise or one hour before sunset, So ideally we’ll meet in the late afternoon. But I will confirm the time with you prior to your session.
Field, Jimboomba
Long grass, short grass, kangaroos and cows — this spot is country magic at its finest. A winding road framed by grazing cattle leads you into rolling hills that light up beautifully at sunset, creating that warm, golden glow you just can’t fake. It’s peaceful, open and full of character, with the sweetest little wildlife moments along the way. The vibrant red flowers bloom from late August through early October, adding an extra pop of colour during that time. There’s a 150–200m walk from the road to reach the best areas, so it’s not the easiest for prams or wheelchairs — but the views are absolutely worth it.
Field, Waterford
Such a versatile little gem — think towering trees, a mix of long and freshly cut grass, and wide open space to roam. There’s even a tree perfect for climbing, plus plenty of little pockets to explore and let imaginations run wild. It’s relaxed, playful and ideal for capturing those natural, joy-filled moments.
Beach, Southport
Another beautifully versatile location, this one starts with a long winding track toward the beach, lined with soft, fluffy grass that’s perfect for those relaxed, candid moments. As we make our way through the sand dunes and out to the crashing waves, the whole space feels open, wild and full of life — such a fun spot for little ones to run, explore and just be themselves. Just a heads up, it’s a bit of a walk to reach the water, so thongs are definitely needed for the walk out.
Pine forest, Mermaid Beach
This is hands-down my favourite spot to photograph — a dreamy pine forest where the sunlight filters through the trees in the most magical way. It creates that soft, golden glow that makes every moment feel a little bit special. Toward the end of the session, we wander down to the lake beside it for some calm, reflective water shots that add a beautiful, peaceful contrast. It’s also super easy to access, close to the road and perfect for prams and wheelchair access, so it’s as practical as it is stunning.
Carpark, Fortitude Valley
Think raw concrete, bold lines, and that effortlessly cool urban edge — this carpark is the ultimate backdrop for a fun, high-energy photoshoot. With open space for the kids to cruise on their bikes or skateboards and plenty of gritty textures to play against, it delivers those relaxed, street-style vibes while keeping things playful and full of movement. It’s simple, versatile, and seriously cool without even trying.

Rocky Beach, Currumbin
The Gold Coast’s very own “Pride Rock” — as I like to call it! Perched above the shoreline, this stunning beach spot has so many incredible natural elements, from dramatic rock formations to sweeping ocean views. It’s absolutely magical at sunrise and just as breathtaking at sunset, when the sky lights up and the whole coastline glows.
This location is currently undergoing construction and may not be usable.
Creek, Currumbin
Snuggled into a quiet little pocket of Currumbin is this gorgeous flowing creek, surrounded by lush greenery and the kind of trees kids can’t resist climbing. It feels tucked away and adventurous, with winding little paths and hidden corners that invite exploring. It’s the perfect spot for barefoot splashing, curious wandering, and capturing those sweet, natural moments with your littles.
Beach, Miami, Gold Coast
Wander along the water’s edge, climb over sun-warmed rocks, and soak in the beauty of this stunning beach, it truly shines at sunrise and glows at sunset. The light here is soft, golden and incredibly flattering, making it perfect for those dreamy, natural moments. There is a longer walk down to the beach, so it’s not ideal for pram or wheelchair access, but once you arrive, the views and atmosphere make it absolutely worth it.
Highland Cows, Currumbin, Gold Coast
Capture a truly unforgettable experience alongside the beautiful Highland cows — full of charm, personality and those iconic shaggy coats. Mini sessions are released periodically, or you can book a full private session on request for a more relaxed, personalised experience. Please note that a location hire fee applies in addition to the session fee.
Flower Farm, Mt Tamborine
Wander through rows of beautiful seasonal blooms at this charming flower farm, where every turn feels a little bit magical. With soft petals, winding garden paths and the warm glow of golden light, it’s the perfect setting for dreamy, storybook-style photos. Little ones can explore the pathways, admire the flowers and simply enjoy the space, creating natural moments that feel relaxed and full of wonder. It’s a peaceful, colourful location that photographs beautifully and feels like stepping into a garden fairytale. Please note that a $75 location hire fee applies in addition to the session fee.
